In the heart of Gaza, two little girls, Lara and Nancy, once full of joy and dreams, are now left to navigate the aftermath of a tragedy no child should ever endure. At just 3 years old, Lara lost her mother in a devastating bombing. The explosion that shattered their home also took her legs, leaving her with deep physical and emotional scars. Her sister, Nancy, suffered the loss of her feet and endured her own severe injuries. Their world was torn apart in an instant, and what should have been a time of love, play, and growth turned into a daily struggle for survival.

Lara and Nancy’s lives were forever changed in that moment. Their mother is gone, their father fights for his life in intensive care, and the girls’ childhood was stolen from them. Lara, especially, grapples with the reality of her new life, asking her aunt why she can no longer walk and grieving not only the loss of her legs but of her mother’s warmth and love.

In the midst of this heartbreaking time, their uncle Youssef and aunt Shiefa stepped in, providing love and care. But even as they heal physically, the emotional pain of their loss weighs heavily on their young hearts.
